Yesterday's episode of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge was unfunny at best. I, thus, didn't have high hopes from the next episode at all. But I did get to guffaw and chuckle a bit in today's episode. It was the elimination day tonight and Shika Singh has been ousted from the show. She was the only female contestant in the show and thus, you will feel a bit upset as she wasn't outrageously bad in the act considering the level of comedy in the show isn't too high. Here's a rundown on how it all happened.
It begins with Sajid Khan comparing Elli with Gobi ka Phool (Cauliflower). Shreyas Talpade goes a step ahead calls her a kakri (Cucumber). Akshay Kumar mimics Jeevan and Elie is left dumbfounded.

Gaurav Gupta quits the show for some reason which Elie didn't care to elaborate.
Ajay Singh Chauhan explains what 'Chotu' the moniker actually means in his act. Sajid found his voice pretty unique and predicted that once his voice gets famous, he will become famous. Akshay lets him ring the silver bell on his own. It's amusing to see how even Akshay Kumar gets tired ringing the bell and why won't he. Akshay uses stunts to do this simple thing as well.
Abhishek Walia takes the stage next. His theme of jokes is Maa. He may not be very funny but he managed pretty well.
Akshay tells Sajid Khan and Shreya about Hakim Singh who had come during the audition round. Akshay was getting sadist pleasure laughing at his weird way of cracking jokes.
Elie then calls Sumeet Saurabh to stage. He too takes a dig at his parents. It seemed more like a rant against his poor father than comedy. But everyone loved it for some reason.
Next up was Vishwas Chauhan. His grievance against getting beaten up by his parents when he does something wrong is the premise of his jokes. He was fairly funny. Akshay dedicates a couplet to him. But he gets no bells!
Mohammad Anaas takes the stage next. He talks about him being a 'secular product'. He is the best among the lot as he made me chuckle quite a few times. Fortunately, the judges liked him too but he got no bells either!
The judges and Elie then play a cookie challenge. Shreyas goes first. Akshay wins the challenge fair and square.
Next up was Shikha Singh. She concentrated on why there is no melodrama in her married life. She wasn't that bad but wasn't as good either.
Time for eleminations draw in and Akshay takes the stage. Sumit Saurabh becomes safe. Naman Jain was safe too and the only female contestant of the show Shikha Singh gets eliminated.
