Since the day it was announced that King Khan of Bollywood is giving his voice to the Hindi dubbed version of The Lion King, our excitement has been at the peak. Shah Rukh Khan will be voicing for Mufasa while his son Aryan Khan will give his voice to Simba. And what better casting coup than this? And after making us wait impatiently, the makers have released a teaser giving us a glimpse of what it t is going to be like to listen to King Khan as Mufasa. In a minute-long teaser, Mufasa voiced by SRK gives a prominent life lesson to Simba, that he is a King and he should always remember that.
And by the end of the teaser, when King Khan says 'Yaad Rakhna' you will end up getting goosebumps. While sharing the teaser, Shah Rukh, wrote, "Delighted to be a part of this global legacy. In Cinemas 19th July. Yaad Rakhna. #TheLionKing @disneyfilmindia" Check out Shah Rukh Khan's tweet here...
Earlier, while confirming the report that he will be voicing for the character, Shah Rukh in a tweet said, "Glad to be a part of this journey... a timeless film. Voicing it in Hindi with my own Simba. The last time we did a film was around 15 years ago and it was ‘Incredible’ and this time around its even more fun. Hope everyone enjoys it 19th July onwards."
In fact, on Father's Day this year, the actor gave us a hint that he and his son Aryan Khan will be voicing for the two characters. The two wore jerseys named as Mufasa and Simba respectively.
The Lion King opens in theatres on July 19. The Hindi version also features the voices of popular Indian actors like Ashish Vidyarthi, Sanjay Mishra, Asrani, and Shreyas Talpade.
While we have heard SRK now, we are eagerly waiting to hear Aryan Khan's voice as Simba.
