The star was seen at Bela Sehgal’s office recently
Ranveer Singh might be dilly dallying with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati, but Deepika Padukone is ready! And looks like the final announcement for the star cast of Padmavati is not far away. Last night we spotted Deepika at Bela Shegal’s office. Bela is the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s sister and the actor’s visit to her office hints that Deepika would soon start working for her next. Earlier BollywoodLife reported that, Deepika has signed the dotted line and will essay the role of queen Padmavati in SLB’s next. Bhansali's pet Ranveer Singh’s name was being considered to play Alauddin Khilji and we weren't one bit surprised. After much back and forth, Shahid Kapoor was finalised for the role of Raval Ratan Singh.
Buzz suggests that all's not well between Ranveer and Bhansali and the actor has ditched the filmmaker. However looks like his girlfriend will not follow his suit. The actress we hear has gotten a hiked fee for this role. Rumours also suggested that Deepika was keen on sharing the profits of Padmavati, but the makers turned down her demand and instead chose to pay her more remuneration instead. The actress has not signed any other project and was apparently in the running for Salman Khan's Tubelight, until the Dabangg suggested to director Kabir Khan to take a Chinese actress (Zhu Zhu) on board.
For her visit to Bhansali's office Deepika chose an olive green outfit and the actress was glued to her mobile phone all along. Looking at Deepika's frequent visits to SLB’s office we wonder if she is being asked to play the mediator between her beau and the filmmaker. Does this mean that the Piku star is going out of her way to make sure that the issues between her boyfriend and Bhansali are sorted.
We hope these attempts by Deepika don’t go in vain and Ranveer does sign up for Padmavati.
