Honestly, there is still time, a few hours technically, before we wake to the occasion of Mother's Day but this a celebration and we will not be the one to stop it. Let us take you through it. If you'd recall Sonali Bendre was recently diagnosed with high-grade cancer and was even undergoing treatment in New York for the same. Although she is back in the bay now, nothing takes away from the fact that it was all shock and disbelief when she broke the news to her fans. Well, today is a different day and everyone now is just as hopeful as Sonali Bendre is, about her complete recovery. With heaps of good wishes and prayers, the actress is fighting the 'ugly C' with sunshine, one day at a time and honestly, it has been reassuring to see her stand strong in the face of adversity.
In fact, she also has been documenting her journey by cutting her hair short to acing the bald and beautiful look and we are still in awe thereafter. In awe of her outlook towards life and just about everything that makes her who she is. And this a celebration of all those things. It so happened that Sameera Reddy took to Instagram to dedicate a post for Sonali and its everything we have all been thinking. Sharing a relatively old picture, she wrote, "It was exactly one year ago I met Sonali at Miss Malini’s studio . We were shooting for the girl tribe show . Just a few weeks later I heard she was diagnosed with cancer . And in this one year Sonali has gone through so much and come out such a winner . She has been an amazing mother to Ranveer and i am sure it was tough on him and her husband with the sudden shock of being diagnosed. I can only imagine what they went through. I told her recently that I felt how in this picture she was the Sonali Bendre of the past and how now in her new avatar she is a powerful warrior who has emerged even more graceful and courageous and I respect her for it . She inspires me and this Mother’s Day i want to recognise her determination as something we all can learn from. #happymothersday #mothersday #everyday #strong #mom #mother #woman #respect #motherhood #inspire #sonalibendre ??"
Now, isn't it something?
Soon after she returned to India, Sonali was back on the sets of her project and revealed how she felt to be back in action again. "Being back on a set after a major sabbatical – one that has been testing in many ways on so many levels – is a surreal feeling. After all this, I sort of feel an additional sense of purpose and meaning and I'm so grateful to be back in action. I don’t think words would do justice to how beautiful it feels to be back at work... to face the camera again and portray the range of emotions required," the actress had shared.
You're an inspiration to many. More power to you, Sonali!
