The film is directed by Prabhu Solomon.
What's with Indian film-makers and their mission to abuse Indian Railways as much as they want? Years ago, we had a burning train in a film called yeah...Burning Train. Then Jai and Veeru were seen fending off dacoits from a train in a little known film called Sholay.
In recent times, there was Arjun Rampal who made a local train lose its brakes and made it crash at Churchgate station. Why, we even saw Rajinikanth beat up baddies in a local train in the sci-fi flick Enthiran.
Now his son-in-law, Dhanush will do more than fighting on a train, he is going to romance a girl as well as dance with her atop it! Sure SRK did beat him to that by dancing on Chaiyya Chaiyya, but Thodari looks like a movie that will be set entirely on a train, as Dhanush and heroine Keerthy Suresh will explore every part of it for some mysterious reason.
The theatrical trailer has just been launched, and it is just a short version of the previous longer trailer we had seen in the past. We must admit that the train stunts have been wonderfully executed, and kudos to both Dhanush and Keerthy for taking such risks. However, certain portions do look fake, thanks to some faulty CGI, which I hope gets rectified when the movie is ready to release.
