And among them, we have a filmmaker, who has delivered two big hits, which take us through the path of self-discovery. In this picture, we can see that this director is hugging Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of My Name Is Khan. He was assisting Karan Johar on this project. So, have you guessed his name yet? Well, he is the man behind Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
Yup, he is none other than the young filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, who is celebrating his 36th birthday today. Ayan, is the son of actor Deb Mukerji and cousin of celebs like Kajol, Tanisha, Sarbani Mukherjee and Rani Mukerji. Before making his directorial debut with Wake Up Sid, the actor was associated with films like My Name Is Khan and Swades as assistant director and screenplay writer. Well, we must say with his amazing narrative skills, the director has come a long way and we can't hide our excitement for his upcoming mega-budget sci-fi venture Brahmastra.
Talking about the film, Brahmastra is produced by Dharma Productions and is also backed by Fox Star Studios. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna in key roles. It is the first part of the trilogy and is reportedly made on the whopping budget of Rs 150-200 crore. It is set to hit the screens in 2020.
