Salman Khan fans are waiting for Tiger 3. The box-office success of the two films have made people even more eager for the action flick. The shoot of Tiger 3 had started in March. Things began going haywire soon after. Katrina Kaif tested positive for the coronavirus and was under home quarantine. After that, the second wave gained momentum in the city. The Maharashtra Government started putting in curbs seeing the high number of daily infections. In mid-April, the shoot got halted. At that time, filmmaker Maneesh Sharma was shooting in Goregaon's SRPF Ground. They had created the set of a huge Dubai market.
It seems now Aditya Chopra has taken a decision to take down the set of the movie in Goregaon. It seems he was contemplating it after Cyclone Tauktae created havoc in Maharashtra and Gujarat. A part of the set in damaged. The extension of the lockdown till June 15 had been the final nail in the coffin. A source told MiD Day that there is no confirmation on when film shoots can resume in Mumbai. The studio wants to be careful given the scale of the film. The source told the paper that the producer wanted the crew to be vaccinated before they could resume work. The source told MiD Day, "Considering Tiger 3 has a massive crew of about 300 people, Aditya wants the team to be vaccinated before they report to work. Maintaining the outdoor structure was turning out to be an expensive affair. They realised it will be easier on the pocket to erect a set whenever they are ready to resume work."
Sanjay Leela Bhansali also did the same with the sets of Gangubai Kathiawadi last year. The long lockdown had meant that they were paying a huge rent without actually getting any work done. Emraan Hashmi is the baddie in the flick. He has been working out diligently of late. It seems they are looking at European countries where they can shoot peacefully. The source said, "With Europe reopening its borders to fully vaccinated travellers, Aditya and Maneesh are studying the countries that can be part of Tiger’s journey. They will zero in on the locations post-August."
Salman Khan's last film Radhe got a mixed response from the audience.
