One Tiger looking out for another! Tiger Zinda Hai actor Salman Khan has recently confirmed that he is preparing to launch yet another face into the industry. While we are yet to see the performances of his recent finds – Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal in Notebook – Salman has already found a new boy to launch into the industry. The actor, in a conversation with Bombay Times, revealed that he is preparing to launch his bodyguard Shera’s son, Tiger. The actor informed that not only is Tiger being groomed for his Bollywood debut, but Salman is taking personal interest in choosing a script for the Bollywood star in the making.
“Shera's son Tiger is being groomed right now and he's already being considered by so many producers and directors. Shera feels I will be the best judge of a script for his son, so I am now sifting through scripts. I am yet to find something worthy,” he said.
But while Tiger will mark his debut as an actor, he isn’t new to Bollywood. Tiger worked with Salman in Sultan. He was an assistant director of the Salman-Anushka Sharma starrer. Apart from confirming, Salman also spoke about the notion that he’s giving Bollywood opportunities to his close ones. “The boys I see and meet, they work really hard to get a nod from me. They work on presenting themselves well and everything that goes with it, because it matters. I have many friends, but that doesn't mean I am launching everyone's kids,” Salman said.
Salman has launched many actors in the recent years. Apart from Pranutan and Zaheer (who will be seen in Notebook this weekend), Salman had launched his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma with LoveYatri, and Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty in Hero. Salman turned singer for the latter.
As for Notebook, Salman has been participating in the promotions of the movie. Speaking to Indian Express, he said, “When the film came to me, I knew it was a good film. It came to me a long time ago and I was supposed to do it, but then my image changed. So, I couldn’t. For example, when Subhash Ghai sir came to me with Yuvvraj, I said I wanted to do Hero. But later, we launched Sooraj (Pancholi) with that. So, it is not that we have scripts piling up that I don’t want to do. These are the films I really wanted to do but wasn’t able to for various reasons.”
Meanwhile, Salman’s latest production, Notebook is directed by Nitin Kakkar.
