The first teaser of Sony's Venom was amazingly disappointing. It didn't give us a glimpse of the titular supervillain. Then came the first trailer, which I don't know for what joy everyone raved about. For me, it was still boring. But, boy, am I going to eat my words now. The second trailer of Tom Hardy's Venom has been released by the makers and it hits the ball out of the park. The trailer has been so perfectly designed to pique interest. From background score to visuals, everything has been put in just to make you watch the trailer on loop. Everyone who was not interested in the movie until now is bound to change their mind.
Tom Hardy plays the supervillain of sorts - Venom. We are told the backstory of how the alien symbiote took over Tom's body in this trailer once again. But from there, it takes a new route. We see the titular superhero turn into a giant scary creature. We see it threaten people on multiple occasions, including the police and a robber. We also meet Michelle Williams and Riz Ahmed's characters. And they also manage to intrigue. Venom is slated to release on October 5 this year. The movie is being made by Sony in association of Marvel Studios. The chances of Spider-Man making a cameo appearance are very slim given the fact he was turned into ashes at the end of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 won't revive him until 2019. "The world has enough superheroes" is the tagline of the trailer and in one sentence it sets the tone of the film. We are eagerly looking forward to the movie now.
