With hundreds of thousands stranded far from home with no recourse to their means of livelihood, food or shelter in sight, they were compelled to take arduous journeys on foot, traversing uncountable miles, in the faint hope of reuniting with their families in their villages. With the possibility too remote and the risks too high, Sonu Sood entered the fray, without horse or armour, but a shining knight nevertheless, spreading his wings as far and wide as he could to create a cauldron as large and deep as conceivable, where the needy could feel safe again.

Ajay remembers dad on his first death anniversary
Bollywood superstar, Ajay paid a tribute to late father and action-director Veeru Devgan on his first death anniversary with a heartfelt post. The Singham star shared a few glimpses of him with dad Veeru and wrote, "Dear Dad, it’s a year since you left. However, I can feel you beside me—quiet, caring, protective; your presence is forever reassuring ?." Veeru Devgan passed away last year due to cardiac arrest and was one of the most popular action choreographers of the country.

Pritam’s father passes away at 86
Renowned Bollywood music composer, Pritam Chakraborty's father, Prabodh Chakraborty breathed his last on Sunday, May 24. He was battling two serious diseases and succumbed to them at the age of 86. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, late Prabodh Chakraborty had been hospitalised for the last two years owing to his medical condition. A source close to the composer-singer revealed the cause of his father's death saying, "Pritam, his mother and sister were with Prabodh Chakraborty in the hospital till the end. He was suffering from Parkinson's and Alzheimer's."

Surbhi Jyoti approached for Bigg Boss 14
