Our weekly dose of Trending Tunes is here for you! With this section, we bring to you the topmost trending tracks from Bollywood. With the constant fluctuation of songs going up and down, it sometimes becomes difficult to keep a track of what the latest trends are. But worry not, as we are here to update you on which song was listened to the most this week and which song lost a couple of its listeners. So, here's a look at the top 5 songs on the music charts this week.
Bekhayali – Kabir Singh
This song shows the mindblowing transformation of Shahid Kapoor from a lovestruck surgeon to a heartbroken alcoholic and honestly, the emotions painted by the actor in the song are one of his best performances till date. Kiara has very little screen time in this one but that doesn't bother one much as Shahid manages to totally consume the viewer. Essentially a song showing the strong emotions of passion and emptiness after a loved one leaves you, this one is ruled by Shahid. The actor brings out his superb acting skills and his alcoholic avatar becomes so believable. Apart from great visuals, the composition in itself is engaging. It lends to the feeling of despair of a heartbroken man and beautifully blends in with the mood of the song. Sachet Tandon's vocals too are perfect for Shahid's Kabir who is seen shedding angry tears in most of the frames of this song. And so, it seems to have taken over the hearts of fans this week.
Slow Motion – Bharat
This peppy number from Salman Khan's Bharat had been trending on No. 1 last week. However, the song, which also features Disha Patani in its video, has now been replaced by Shahid's Bekhayali. While all the Salman fans made Bharat break many records, new songs coming into the industry make it tough for a person to keep listening to the same tunes over and over again. Last week, it was time for Eid celebrations as well as India's World Cup opening match. So, fans were more into fast-paced songs. But now, love and loss seems to have taken over and hence the dip in the tune ins for Slow Motion. But believe us, listening to Nakash Aziz's energetic voice along with Shreya Ghoshal singing a different kind of a song apart from romantic soft ones, it is not possibe to not groove to Slow Motion whenever it's played.
The Jawani Song - Student of the Year 2
Old is gold, remember? This recreation of Kishore Kumar's 1972 song by musician-composer duo Vishal-Shekhar is a winner. Retaining Kishore Da's original voice, some parts have been sung by Vishal Dadlani and Payal Dev. The amazingly blingy sets and the awesome choreography just adds to the whole feel of the song and you can't not watch if Tiger Shroff himself is popping and locking before you, right? Featuring Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria and Aditya Seal along with Tiger, this track has remained in the top 5 songs on the charts since its release in April 2019.
First Class – Kalank
Remember how much we had liked Varun Dhawan pairing with Arijit Singh the last time they did? It was during the time of Main Tera Hero for the track Tera Dhyaan Kidhar Hai. Hearing Arijit sing a peppy number had won him hearts then and they did again when he sang First Class for Kalank. Once again, he lent his voice for Varun and it just turned out to be magical. No, not soulful this time, but full of energy and enthusiasm. And that is why First Class continues to keep resurfacing on the trending tunes list time and again. Besides, it was the Eid week and which better song to groove to than Zafar's introduction track from Kalank?
Chale Aana – De De Pyaar De
This emotional track is soulful and touches ones heart right from its first note. The number showcases lead stars Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet mutually parting ways, but are still thinking about each other, cherishing their good old romantic times. The melodious voice of Armaan Malik perfectly blends with the emotions of the lead stars and as has made it to the playlist of every music lover. We can assure you that this is the go-to song for anyone who has had a heartbreak.
So, this is it for this week. See you guys next week with a fresh list of Trending Tunes. Happy weekend!
