Model-turned-actor Rajneish Dugall is celebrating his 40th birthday today. The hot and handsome hunk, who had featured in music videos like Pardesiya and Akhiyan Milake in the 90s, got his big Bollywood break with Vikram Bhatt's 1920, which also marked the debut of actress Adah Sharma. The 2008 horror venture, which had released with not more than average buzz, turned out to be a sleeper hit at the box office.
The location played a crucial role in the film, where we see the lead actress constantly sensing the presence of a spirit in the castle. While you must have loved the castle in the film, it may not have been as welcoming for the cast and crew since it was actually haunted. In fact, it’s listed as one of the 10 most haunted castles in the world. The shooting took place at Allerton castle in Yorkshire, Northern England, and is ranked seventh among the top 10 most haunted castles on the planet. Actress Anjori Alagh, who played the second female lead in the film said, "The huge castle was located in a lonely place where there was nothing around. Though nothing happened during our whole schedule, we always had an eerie feeling while we walked around. We discovered it’s scary fact after we reached there, and I think no one from the cast knew about it before."
The actress also revealed an incident, when she and Adah when to a room in the castle, where no one was allowed to go. "Both of us had a certain feeling when we entered the room and immediately came out. The room was a huge one, decorated in an old Victorian style, and we had an eerie feeling when we entered it." Well, it must have certainly been a scary experience for the cast, but they would’ve been happy after seeing how their intrepid efforts paid off at the box office.
Post-1920, Rajneish Dugall went on to features in films like Samrat & Co., Ek Paheli Leela, Laal Rang, Wajah Tum Ho and others. He will next be seen in Manoj Sharma's Khalli Balli, which also stars Dharmendra, Madhoo, Kainaat Arora, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Ekta Jain, Yasmeen Khan, Brijendra Kala, Yogesh Lakhani and Asrani in key roles. We hope this horror-comedy turns out to be a winner for the birthday boy.
