Varun Dhawan is busy promoting his film Badrinath Ki Dulhania that releases on March 10. The second installment of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania has already created a huge buzz in the industry. Not only the audience but even the trade is expecting great returns from it. But when the trailer of the film released, many spoke about the manner in which Varun's character, Badri, is seen following Alia Bhatt's character, Vaidehi. The trailer follows a seemingly adamant Badri following Vaidehi, who evidently has no interest in him. Many even slammed it for glorifying stalking. So when we met up with Varun today, we asked him what he felt about this criticism and his reply will give you hope.
Varun said, "Our film has nothing to do with stalking. It has nothing to do with force or aggressiveness. Actually there's a larger message in all this. So I don't mind criticism coming through right now, because it is supposed to be criticised. And I agree with people criticising it. Somewhere our film has a take on that. There's an explanation for that, which is that if you do this, you won't get the girl. What they are criticising is what we criticise in the film as well. I am not saying what I am doing is right but our film doesn't deal with any kind of stalking actually. We are all against it and that is shown in the film."
So all those who had issues with Varun not taking no for an answer in the trailer, here's a tip - watch the movie on March 10 and you will get your answers. At least Varun has hinted that the film doesn't glorify stalking and so we are hoping Badrinath Ki Dulhania lives upto our expectations.
