Varun Dhawan is the most in-demand actor in the industry currently. Given the fact that he has hardly seen a flop since his debut, he is easily one of the most bankable actors in the current lot. In fact, the actor's choice of films has left many baffled but immensely proud of him. After doing three fun roles, the actor jumped into a gritty revenge-thriller like Badlapur and wowed everyone with his performance. Lately, we have been hearing rumours about him doing a Shoojit Sircar film. So when we met up with him today, we sought a confirmation for the same and we got an answer in the affirmative. In fact, he might start shooting for it after Judwaa 2.
Speaking to the media, Varun confirmed, "It's happening. There's something that he narrated which I really liked. I always wanted to work with him since Vicky Donor and loved Madras Cafe." So will that be after Judwaa 2? "Yes, that will happen after Judwaa 2." So there's your answer. Varun will soon be doing a film by Shoojit Sircar, a director everyone looks up to. A source had revealed to DNA, “It’s not another light-hearted, feel-good film. Rather, it’s quite dark. And more than dark, it’s heartbreaking. In fact, Shoojit absolutely loved Varun in Badlapur and felt that he’s one of those young actors who can take up a film of this genre and still make it entertaining. Expect this one to be a notch higher. Varun has taken risks in the past and they have worked well for him and he’s extremely confident about pulling this one off as well.” So it's happening for real.
It's really amazing how Varun has built his career. He is absolutely clear that he wants to do all kinds of cinema but at the same time not compromise on entertainment. In the interview, he mentions how even Badlapur had Jee Karda. He loves music and dancing, which will always be part of his films, because he wants his audience to enjoy his movies to the fullest.
