The makers of Vicky Kaushal's Sardar Udham Singh have released the release date of the film and it's October 2, 2020. Director of the film, Shoojit Sircar confirmed the news to Mumbai Mirror and said, "Yes, we will be releasing the film on October 2, 2020. Keeping in mind the remaining shoot schedule, post-production and the time required to complete the film, my producers and good friends Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar advised this date for a feasible release next year and I have decided to go with it."
But interestingly, Tiger Shroff's Rambo, which is the official remake of Sylvester Stallone's Hollywood blockbuster of the same name is all set to hit the screens on the same date. Director Siddharth Anand had revealed the date to Mumbai Mirror and had said, "After I complete my current film with Tiger and Hrithik Roshan, I will start prepping for Rambo from September. Tiger will begin his prep from November-December and we will set the ball rolling in the new year, shooting both in India and abroad. The recce will begin soon. We have already locked a release date, October 2, 2020"
So, that means, we have one more clash in the list of 2020 box office battles. It'll be interesting that any of the two films will shift their release dates at the box office or not. Talking about Sardar Udham Singh, it is based on the life of a freedom fighter named Udham Singh, who shot Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer, Michael O’Dwyer, the lieutenant governor of Punjab, dead to avenge the infamous Jallianwala Bagh Massacre of 1919. On the other hand, Tiger Shroff's Rambo is a masala action entertainer, which is expected to have breathtaking stunts.
