Teaser of Ravi Teja's upcoming film Amar Akbar Anthony and the promotional video is impressive. The teaser will leave you thinking if Ravi Teja is indeed playing triple roles or if he is just shuffling between the characters in various situations. The story seems to be intriguing, going by the trailer, with a thriller tinge to it which is seldom tried in Telugu commercial arena. Directed by Sreenu Vaitla, Amar Akbar Anthony will be the fourth collaboration of the director and the actor after previous hits like Venky and Dubai Seenu. As the title may suggest, Ravi Teja will be seen playing the titular characters but it is not clear yet if he would be seen playing triple roles or just a Sreenu Vaitla-style enactment of stories that makes one Ravi Teja don three characters in the plot. Nonetheless, the teaser seems quite impressive and if you are a fan of the Telugu Mass Maharaj, you will watch it over and over again. Ileana D’Cruz is back in Tollywood after a sabbatical and will be romancing Ravi Teja for the fourth time after Khatarnak, Kick and Devudu Chesina Manushulu. Supporting actors like Aditya Menon, Abhimanyu Singh and Tarun Arora are also seen sporting stylish looks in the teaser. Interestingly, Ravi Teja is seen doing time in some US prison hinting the plot could also be a revenge-seeking subject but could be too early to take guesses.

The film also stars actor Sunil in a key role while veteran actress Laya, known for her roles in films like Swayamavaram and Hanuman Junction, will be seen making a comeback in Tollywood. Shruti Haasan will be seen playing the second leading lady but wasn’t seen in the teaser. The music of Amar Akbar Anthony is being composed by Thaman SS who seems to be donning a purple hat these days.
