Varun Dhawan will be seen as a tailor Mauji in Sui Dhaaga - Made In India. The trailer has made it evident that the actor plays a character who is trying to prove his worth and is ably supported by his wife Mamta (Anushka Sharma). The film has managed to make people deeply interested in it. But it wasn't so easy to become Mauji. Varun Dhawan had to do a lot to get the look right as well, apart from getting a hang of the mannerisms of a small-town tailor. In a BTS video, the actor explains how being a fan of Mithun Chakraborty shaped a bit of his avatar in the film. Since he is a fan of the senior actor in the film, his character mostly wore boots. Varun also says how they tried using a fake moustache but nothing worked out. Later, he grew a moustache which director Sharat Katariya loved. Check out the video here...
A few days back, Varun had shared yet another video from the prepping up days for Sui Dhaaga. That was all about how he turned a tailor for the film. The first garment he stitched was a blouse, then a shirt, a pant and much more. Later, he became such a pro at stitching clothes that he gifted his father David Dhawan a shirt entirely made by him! This man has done a lot to make Sui Dhaaga count and we hope this sincerity is evident in the film as well.
