Vidya Balan is one such actress that we have in the industry who would charm you up just with her screen presence. The kind of films which she has done speaks volume about her real-life personality. She is chirpy, sensuous and entertaining as hell. And at the same time, Vidya is upfront about her work and professionalism. The Mission Mangal actress opened up about the time when she had to go through casting couch.
“One day I remember I was in Chennai and this director came to meet me. I said let’s sit in the coffee shop and he kept insisting that he wants to talk to me and that we should go to the room. I left the door of my room open and he left within five minutes. This incident suddenly struck me today when I’m talking about this, " Vidya Balan told PinkVilla.com.
“Someone wrote that ‘Dress like this, she has no business of getting out, she should stay indoors’. That had affected me so much that for the longest time, I would get dreams of it and get really angry. Today, I don’t let the noise get to me.” she added.
BollywoodLife got in touch with the actress and she revealed how she knew from the start that the film would do well. "From the time I heard the narration, I knew this film is good and it will do well. I don't think much about the numbers (box office), kitna and all. Before Mission Mangal, I never had clarity about how well a film would do. But this time, through the narration, film making process and the promotions, I had clarity," said Vidya Balan, who plays Tara Shinde in Mission Mangal.
