Rumours are rife that the ace filmmaker has now approached Chiyaan to play villain in his next film
After delivering a blockbuster hit this year with Chiyaan Vikram, it looks like director Shankar is keen on collaborating with Vikram yet again for a film. But this time around he has been approached to play not the hero but a villain. And not just anybody's villain but superstar Rajinikanth's villain.
Earlier rumours spread like wild fire that Kamal Haasan and Rajini are going to come together after really long time for a Shankar flick. But we just got to know that Kamal has declined Shankar's offer as he is not willing to play a negative character. This has led to Shankar approaching Vikram for the villain's role.
A little birdie tells us that it is not a sequel to Enthiran as everyone is speculating it to be. In fact, Shankar had written this film keeping Vijay and Vikram in mind. But when Rajinikanth came into picture, the I filmmaker opted for Kamal Haasan. After Kamal Haasan said no to the part, the role of Rajini's villain is now knocking Vikram's door.
Just like any other Shankar film, this film is expected to be made at a lavish budget of Rs 190 crores and is expected to be shot ar exotic locales across the globe. The film is said to be backed by Lyca productions, which had produced Vijay's Kaththi last year. The makers are looking for a Bollywood babe to be paired opposite Rajini even this time around. AR Rahman is supposed to be the in charge of music department.
Will Vikram say yes to Shankar's offer? Will we see Rajini vs Vikram battle on big screen next year? We are eagerly waiting to see what Vikram has to say to Shankar's offer. Like any excited fan, even I hope to see Vikram taking on Rajini on big screen very soon.
