Motwane was supposed to direct a music video for Ranbir but the former backed off courtesy Sidharth. Confused? Read on to know full story...
Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma's special music video for Bombay Velvet was to be shot by Vikramaditya Motwane. However, we hear it was Vikas Bahl who ended up shooting the music video for Anurag Kashyap's much-waited directorial venture. But why? Apparently, the Lootera director got tied up with the pre-production work of his own film Bhavesh Joshi starring Sidharth Malhotra and therefore couldn't keep his commitment. So Bahl, who has co-produced Bombay Velvet with RK and Anurag, stepped in to direct the special music video which was shot last week.
While talking to a leading tabloid, a source said, "Vikram is neck-deep in his vigilante drama. He wanted to kick off the film in January but because of Sidharth's commitment to Karan Malhotra's Brothers, the schedule was pushed back by two months. Now, that he has confirmed dates from Sid in March, he is busy tying up all the loose ends so that there are no glitches during the shoot."
Interestingly, Kashyap didn't create any fuss when Vikramaditya informed him about his situation. In fact, the Ugly director decided to look for someone else as soon as Motwane spoke to him. The makers have given the music video a bit of jazz touch and it seems to have shaped up really well. In that case, let's hope we get to see it real soon!
