Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli who turned up on a news channel to criticise Tanmay Bhat for his controversial Snapchat video is mulling over taking legal action against the AIB comedian.
Here's what he said on Twitter: “tell me honestly. If some1 make's fun of u you'll say leave it.If he cracks weird joke on ur family what will u do.” To another one he replied: “I've spoken to my lawyer about defamation case. That guy spoken bad n use filthy language abt me also.”
Mumbai police has asked Facebook and YouTube to block comedian Tanmay Bhat's video of a mock conversation with Lata Mangeshkar and Sachin Tendulkar. The video has sparked a massive outrage with the Shiv Sena, BJP and MNS. In fact, steps are being taken to take action against him and AIB.
Bollywood has also reacted sharply to the comedian's portrayal of the music and cricket icons. Actors have slammed the video saying it is made in poor taste. But a few actors have even stood up for Tanmay Bhat. RGV, Sonam Kapoor to name a few. As for honourable Lata Mangeshkar, she has chosen to maintain a dignified silence. In fact, the joke is on Tanmay actually as she went to ask who he was. Even Anjali Tendulkar did not take the matter lying down. She went on to lash at him and mentioned that comedians should know the difference between insult and comedy.
Titled "Sachin v/s Lata Civil War", Tanmay, in a video posted on Facebook on May 26, took jibes at the 86-year-old melody queen and the 43-year-old cricketing legend.
