After the success of Kaisi Yeh Yaariyaan, MTV is out with a new show
Keeping up with the tradition of introducing youth based shows, MTV is all set to launch their new daily soap – Warrior High, produced by Lost Boy Productions on February 16, 2015
Warrior High is the name of the school where dreams of singing, dancing, boxing are fulfilled – in short it is a mix of Student of the Year, High School Musical, Kaisi Yeh Yaariyaan and Dil Dosti Dance. Veteran actress Suhasini Mulay will play the character of Anwesha, Headmistress and Guiding Light of Warrior High.
The show also marks the comeback of Anupriya Kapoor (last seen in Ekta Kapoor Tere Liye opposite Harshad Chopda) in a pivotal role. The show will be a mix of old and new faces. Warrior High delves deeper into the lives of students of the legendary school – which is known for producing the country’s most graceful dancers and most vicious boxers. However, the makers claim that the central plot of the show will not be love stories, instead it will be career oriented. Thrown in the mix are new students Siyali, Utkarsh and Niti played by newcomer Sanaya Pethawala, Anshuman Malhotra of Haider fame and well known TV actress Juhi Aslam. These orphan kids, who grew up together in a strict Christian orphanage, now find themselves at Warrior High as part of a scholarship program.
To add to it, there’s Abhishek played by Ashwini Kaul, the golden boy and a champion boxer and Parth played by Lakshya Lalwani. As usual the old and new don’t mix that easily – their rivalry will take the show ahead.
