It’s Arjun Kapoor’s birthday today. The actor turns 34 and his ‘fanmily’ is growing by the day. Apart from the fandom that he enjoys, Arjun is also very protective about his family. The actor is very close to his sisters Anshula, Janhvi and Khushi. Beyond the quirks and brotherly love, Arjun has a philosophical side too. While sifting through his Instagram handle, we came across a few posts which are as good as life lessons. We have put together a few words of wisdom from the birthday boy himself:
Face your struggles bravely
It is a known fact that Arjun Kapoor struggled with obesity in his younger days and he recently penned a heartfelt note about his struggle with the condition. A snippet from his caption read- “It’s been a tough journey for me ever since I was a kid when it comes to my battle with obesity. Everyone has their own struggles I have had and continue to have mine. But the whole point of life is that we fall, we get back up and try again... efforts will pay off eventually if not today then in a week month or even a year.” Wisely put, Arjun.
Smile, no matter what
The next lesson coming from Baba Arjun Kapoor is to smile in the face of adversity. He shared a photo featuring his smile with an inspiring caption which read, “Smile... because it’s easier not to... Smile... because they expect u not to... Smile... because there are more reasons to than not to... Just Smile. #wednesdaywisdom.”
4 rules to live by
Arjun Kapoor shared that he lives by four rules which are – wake up, kick ass, be kind, repeat. Considering that he comes from a family of successful actors and producers, Arjun has his priorities and rules strictly set.
Equality is Everything
Arjun became the ‘most wanted munda’ with Ki & Ka which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan. The movie narrated the story of a guy taking up household chores while the lady brought the money home. Promoting equality Arjun penned, “The woman inside me loves that I did this film, the man inside me must always remember why I did this film #EqualityIsEverything #3YearsOfKiAndKa #KareenaKapoorKhan #RBalki.”
The last one from Arjun’s bag of wisdom is – “Time to reflect. Take away your blues. No matter how much they deflect. In time we all get our dues.” Preachy Arjun wants us to take stock of our actions, understand where we went wrong and make amends.
And when he is not doling out inspiration on Instagram, Arjun is busy working on Panipat. Directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar, the film features Arjun in the role of Sadashiv Rao Bhau. Kriti Sanon plays the female lead. She will step into the character of Parvati Bai, who was the second wife of Sadashiv Rao Bhau. Apart from Arjun and Kriti, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Padmini Kolhapure, Zeenat Aman, Mohnish Bahl, Mantra and Mir Sarwar in key roles. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on December 6.
The actor also has Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar lined up. With this film, Arjun will collaborate with Parineeti Chopra for the third time. Their first collaboration being Ishaqzaade and their second film was Namaste England. Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar is helmed by Dibakar Banerjee and was scheduled to release on March 1, 2019, but was delayed. The makers are yet to announce the new release date.
