So, the proprietors of the now defunct sweet shop have sued the Fan star for using their box without permission!
We all know how director Maneesh Sharma and actor Shah Rukh Khan tried to re create all the elements which make up the proverbial Dilwalon Ki Dilli. In one of is scenes, Shah Rukh's Gaurav indulgently takes a soan papdi box from the iconic Ghantewala Sweet Shop for his screen icon Aryan Khanna. There is a lot of good publicity given to the now defunct sweet shop, which would make any Delhiwala proud. But, the owners of the shop are not very thrilled with this. On the contrary, they have slapped SRK with a notice for using their brand name without permission.
Yeah, the current owner of the shop Sushant Jain is livid with the owners for using his shop name in the film but not crediting him, He also seeks compensation of some kind from the makers. So, if the owners of this iconic sweet shop win this legal tussle, they will end up finally getting finances to re open the shop!
Shah Rukh Khan's Fan released on April 15 and was appreciated by critics. It failed to create a storm at the box office. After Fan, Shah Rukh is all set to release his next flick, Raees on January 26, 2017.
