Producers Vipul Shah and Reliance Entertainment are confused over the title of Khiladi Kumar’s new film, a remake of the Tamil Thuppaki
Getting the right title for a movie is as essential as getting the correct script, which is quite evident from the way the film titles are being chosen by the creatively hatke minds of B-town. Producer Vipul Shah too wished to have a unique and never-before-heard title for his remake of the hit Tamil film Thuppaki, being helmed by Ghajini director AR Murugadoss and starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha.
Vipul’s quest for a alag sa title ended with him settling for the moniker Bahadur. But after a major chunk of the untitled film shoot was over, the filmmaker wasn’t too pleased with what he had chosen. And now we hear that the makers wish to call the movie Holiday, since Akki plays an army officer who’s on vacation and goes through what happens to him and how things unfold. We are told that the producers – Shah and Reliance Entertainment - will finalise the title in a couple of days.
Considering the gist of the story, wethinks Bahadur sounds better instead of Holiday, which is kinda lame. Or how about merging the two – Bahadur on Holiday?
