Kabir Khan has not been publicising the fact that his film will premier in Phantom
In an industry when even the slightest of news is publisced, it is strange that Kabir Khan is mum about his thriller Phantom’s premier in Australia. He, along with the lead pair Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif, is supposed to attend the Australian premiere of the film, but the makers are not keen on publicising this. According to sources, Phantom makers are tight-lipped about this occurrence because of security concerns in Australia.
A source tells a leading entertainment daily, "The film is slated to release this week and the premiere will take place at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. It is a big attraction, but the team has decided to be as low-key as possible since the film deals with terrorism and has been banned in Pakistan. They fear there might be security issues and to avoid unwanted attention, we will go on the day of the screening and return immediately."
While the official spokesperson of the film did not comment on the matter, an insider shares, "Saif and Katrina will be there but we don’t know about other cast members. We have made proper security arrangements and have been given an assurance by the organisers too. It is not that we are being hush-hush about it, but we hardly had time to publicise it.”
