The recent name to be dragged in Hollywood's sexual offenders is comedian Aziz Ansari. The comedian who supported the Time's Up movement at the Golden Globe Awards and even won an award for the show, has been the talk of the internet for the last couple of days. According to reports and statement from the girl he went on a date with last year, Aziz 'forced' her to have sex with him and the date didn't really end like she had planned. She went on to saying that he took no notice of her signals that apparently made it very clear that she was not comfortable.
Aziz recently gave a statement to People magazine reacting to the controversy and said that all the sexual activity between the two was consensual. The statement erad, "The next day, I got a text from her saying that although ‘it may have seemed okay,’ upon further reflection, she felt uncomfortable. It was true that everything did seem okay to me, so when I heard that it was not the case for her, I was surprised and concerned. I continue to support the movement that is happening in our culture. It is necessary and long overdue." (ALSO READ: Aziz Ansari responds to sexual allegation; calls it ‘completely consensual’)
Twitterati has just one question for the 21-year-old photographer, "Why did you not say NO?" Twitter is outraged at how in such progressive times, at a time where people are fighting for women's rights, a girl couldn't say a simple no or fight back. Here's what Twitter has to say.
