Karan Johar’s birthday bash has always been a grand affair. B-town looks up to this day of the calendar as his birthday parties are known to be amazing. We had reported a few days ago that how big names like Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan and Sidharth Malhotra were planning to fly down to London to attend the much coveted event of the year.
While everyone else managed to attend his birthday bash, Alia Bhatt, who is very close to the Student Of The Year director, gave it a miss. Before you run your horses, let me tell you that Alia was invited but she couldn’t make it as she had already started working on her next film with Varun Dhawan - Badrinath Ki Dulhania, which is scheduled for release in 2017.
Without taking a break, the actress started working for Badrinath Ki Dulhania right after she completed shooting for Gauri Shinde’s movie in Goa and Singapore. The Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer untitled movie got completed on Sunday. Film’s director Gauri Shinde took to Twitter to share the news. Not even taking off for a day, Alia started working for Badrinath right from Monday. The actress shared a picture of her on Instagram declaring the same. After Kapoor & Sons, the actress will be next seen in Udta Punjab with Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh.
However, Alia Bhatt made up for not making it to KJo's birthday party by tweeting this sweet message.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar had a fun time celebrating his 44th birthday in London,his favourite city, with close pals SRK, Gauri, Sid, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Zoya Akhtar, Hiroo Johar, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Shweta Bachchan amongst others.
