The actor who reprises his role from the first instalment of the series, threatened to walk out of the film after having a heated argument with Firoz Nadiadwala
Nana Patekar lost his cool, but this time it wasn't onscreen. The Welcome actor, who is reprising the role of don Uday Shetty, had a verbal spat with Firoz Nadiadwala on the sets of Welcome Back. The fight happened right in front of the rest of the cast including Shruti Haasan, Anil Kapoor and director Anees Bazmee.
It is said that the reason was a lot of unprofessional behaviour from Firoz Nadiadwala. Apparently, the team had flown to Dubai to shoot major chunks of the film but many shoots were cancelled because of unavailability of locations. The Bluffmaster actor urged the makers to not waste the actor’s dates and one thing led to another, starting a heated argument between the two. Nana’s frayed tempers went out of control and he threatened to walk out of the film. Eventually, Anil and Anees jumped in and stopped the war of words between the two.
Wethinks it was a genuine gesture from Anil and Anees, as both of them have not had a movie release since long. Had Nana walked out of this project then maybe, Welcome Back would have got shelved. Don’t you think so BollywoodLifers?
