The actor-turned producer is being blamed for showing bias towards Vicky Donor, his first home production
John Abraham is in a very exciting phase, as far as his stint in Bollywood is concerned. Not only has he been a part of successful films like Desi Boyz and Housefull 2, he has also turned producer with Shoojit Sircar's directorial comeback film, Vicky Donor. John has always wanted to be a part of 'hatke' films, which is why he was seen in Deepa Mehta's Water, Anurag Kashyap's No Smoking and more recently in Vishal Bhardwaj's 7 Khoon Maaf. Probably because he isn't primarily known for his acting skills, the Force actor has turned producer, to make and promote films that he believes in.
For his first home-production, Vicky Donor, John Abraham has become a hands-on producer and has been very busy promoting his film at every possible event. This has probably not gone down very well with the directors of the films, Shootout At Wadala and Race 2, in which he is acting. Refuting the rumours regarding this, in a recent interview, he said, "I don't know where they (rumours) come from and I don't even want to get into them. All I know is that my schedules were planned well in advance so there's no question of my films clashing." Wethinks the dishy actor's MBA degree has come in handy while managing so many commitments simultaneously.
