If the choreographer-director’s repertoire of new films is anything to go by, it seems that he’s all set to widen his horizons as a filmmaker by quitting Tollywood and settling down in Bollywood
It seems that Prabhu Deva has taken the popular phrase ‘Make hay while the sun shines’ rather seriously. How else can one explain Prabhu effortlessly making big movie announcements almost every day and planning to churn out as many movies as possible in a year? Deva’s Ramaiya Vastavaiya releases today and he already has four movies in the pipeline – Ajay Devgn-Deepika Padukone's untitled starrer that we hear is an original script, a film for Sanjay Dutt Productions, the Shahid Kapoor-Sonakshi Sinha film Rambo Rajkumar and now a horror flick too, we are told – all these, besides his South commitments. Uff!!!
The Wanted director is certainly on a roll these days. And if industry sources are to be believed, Prabhu doesn’t want to rest on his laurels and is looking to cash in on his popularity and success to the maximum. And he has now decided to enter the horror domain, considered to be the prerogative of the Bhatts or Ram Gopal Varma. We wonder if he will call them for help! But this we do know - since it will be a scary headless female ghost around whom the story will revolve, the filmmaker has some ladies in mind. A fan of the Ramsay brothers' movies, Prabhu will be shooting in a dark mansion on the outskirts of Mumbai, we hear. Like 1920, Prabhu?
Considering the Rowdy Rathore director is being lauded for his back-to-back successes, apna B-town superstars look forward to an opportunity to work with him. But we truly wonder how apna dashing dancer manages to do so much with his super busy schedule! A glance at his remarkable filmography makes him look like he’s a new Rohit Shetty on the Bollywood block. Good luck, Prabhu!
