Contrary to reports, Boney Kapoor won’t be producing his son’s next film Tevar which is a remake of the 2003 Telugu flick Okkadu. But the question is why?
Arjun Kapoor’s uncle Sanjay Kapoor will wear the producer’s hat for his forthcoming film Tevar to be directed by newbie Amit Sharma. Though reports were doing the rounds that Boney Kapoor would produce his son Arjun’s film along with Eros, we have learnt the filmmaker won’t helm the project due to monetary issues. Sridevi’s hubby dearest has only bought the rights of the film but his younger brother Sanjay will be the one who will take care of the production. “Boney Kapoor cannot produce a film due to his ongoing monetary dispute with Sahara. So instead Sanjay Kapoor will produce the film with Eros,” said the source.
While talking to a tabloid, Sanjay confirmed the news, “I am making Tevar and Boney is starting No Entry 2 with Salman Khan.” Tevar starring Arjun and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead will go on floors next month. In the movie, the Kapoor lad will be seen playing a regular college kid from Agra, who is a kabaddi champion.
