The innovative plot is creating quite a buzz even before its release.
If your feelings were people, how would they react and control you? That's what Disney and Academy award winning director Pete Docter wants to tell you in their new animated feature, Inside Out. The trailers are very promising, whatever we have seen till now. The film also received much critical acclaim when it was showcased during this year's Cannes festival, which has increased its Oscar Buzz.
As far as the plot goes, it narrates the tale of Riley, a little girl, who is faced with a major predicament when her family is planning to relocate to a different city. As she copes up with this new development, her brain activity are being controlled by five different feelings - Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust and Fear (voiced by Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling and Bill Hader respectively). The same applies for other people around her as well, but naturally, but their feelings have different personalities. They have their own headquarters as well! Once Riley moves on to her new neighborhood, her feelings help her cope with her surroundings, until two of her feelings get lost, and making their host a volatile personality.
If you are intrigued by the plot, wait for another week, when the movie finally releases in a theatre near you on June 19. If we go by the standing ovation the movie received in Cannes, I am sure it will be a front-runner for the next year's Oscars, unless the Oscar committee do The Lego Movie snub.
