Will Katrina Kaif and Varun Dhawan's dance film be made in 4D? Here's what director Remo D'souza has to say

It will be India's first 4D film if everything falls in place

For the first time, Varun Dhawan and Katrina Kaif are ready to collaborate for what is being called ‘India’s biggest dance film’. If you remember, we were the first ones to tell you about this project few months back. The official announcement was made last month and needless to say fans of Varun and Katrina, who were desperately waiting for them to collaborate for a film, went bonkers. Word has it that this will be the third installment of Remo D'Souza’s hit ABCD franchise, however there has been no official confirmation on this bit yet.

As per the latest update, the makers are planning to make this dance film in the 4D format. Remo is hopeful that everything will fall in place as he is currently learning about the technology. While interacting with Mid-Day, Remo revealed, "We are exploring the possibility of 4D and IMAX. I am still learning the technology and I hope to get it right so that I can use it in the appropriate way." But obviously, making a film in 4D format is a different ball game altogether and hence they have to take care of a lot of things while filming the movie. "Making a 4D film is even more difficult as the audience is totally involved. There are a lot of elements that need to be considered. We need to take care of the camera angles, the mark of the actors, and that sometimes takes a toll on their performances. We don't want to compromise on the story because of the technology, so we are still toying with the idea," Remo was further quoted.

If everything falls in place, this will be the first Indian film to be made in 4D. In 2014, the makers of The Last Emperor tried to make it in the format, but they weren't successful.
