With the buzz around Srimanthudu refusing to die down, Ravi Teja starrer might face a tough time at box office
Tollywood was ruled by SS Rajamouli's Baahubali in the month of July. And it seems like Telugu film industry is now reigned by Mahesh Babu's Srimanthudu. After having postponed the release by almost two months, in order to avoid the wrath of these box office bullies, Ravi Teja's Kick 2 is finally releasing tomorrow.
While some might say it was a safe move to avoid releasing Kick 2 in close proximity to Baahubali or Srimanthudu, it seems like problems for Ravi Teja-Rakul Preet starrer is still not averted completely. Though Baahubali's buzz has finally mellowed down, Mahesh Babu's Srimanthudu is still killing it at the box office, even after two weeks after its release. Infact, Srimanthudu has raked Rs 150 crore at box office and is refusing to slow down. This might create some serious trouble for Ravi Teja's Kick 2.
Also, Mahesh Babu seems to be rigourously promoting Srimanthudu now-a-days. His move to adopt a village has been praised by one and all, helping Srimanthudu hog the limelight. While the promotions for Srimanthudu are on full swing, despite being a big film, there seems to be hardly any buzz around Kick 2. In fact, Ravi Teja had given his first interview for the film only two days before the release. Going by the trade trend, it seems like it is going to be a tough outing for Ravi Teja's Kick 2 at box office.
