Kamal Haasan's latest outing Vishwaroopam 2, which was a mega-budget bilingual venture failed to create any magic at the box office. In fact, the espionage thriller didn't even manage to get a decent opening at the ticket windows. Now that questions the market value of Kamal Haasan, that whether the actor has the potential to attract the audience to the cinema halls or not. Apparently, the actor is soon expected to start the shooting of his anticipated film Indian 2.
Now apparently, the financers of the film are in two minds about investing in the project as it will be an expensive venture which will be heavily dependent on VFX. The film will be shot in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The makers are considering Nayanthara to play the lead role in Indian 2. Interestingly, the film will mark the Tamil debut of Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn. For those, who don't know Indian 2 is the sequel to 1996 blockbuster Indian aka Hindustani.
Lyca Productions, who are apparently bankrolling the project, will first see the box office performance of Shankar's 2.0, then will take the decision to invest in Indian 2. Talking about 2.0, the sci-fi is made on the lavish budget of Rs 500 crore and is completely shot in 3D format. It stars Akshay Kumar, Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson in pivotal roles and is set to hit the screens on November 30.
