The handsome hunk of Bollywood, Vicky Kaushal turns 31 today. The actor, who made his big screen debut with Masaan in 2015 rose to fame with Alia Bhatt-starrer Raazi followed by last year's biggest hit Sanju for which he also won the Filmfare best-supporting actor award. He started 2019 with a bang with Aditya Dhar's Uri: The Surgical Strike, which is currently the highest grossing Bollywood film of the year so far with an impressive collection of Rs 245.56 crore. In a short span of 4 years, he has entered in the league of A-listers and if we look at the slate of his upcoming films, it seems that he is set to shatter all the records at the ticket windows again. The Vanishing Act - 2019
Tentatively titled The Vanishing Act, this film is a horror story set against the backdrop of a static ship at a beach. The film marks the directorial debut of Shashank Khaitan's assistant director Bhanu Pratap Singh. Last month, the actor was badly injured while performing an action sequence and ended up with 13 stitches and a cheekbone fracture. The film also stars Bhumi Pednekar in a key role and is set to hit the screens this year.
Udham Singh - 2020
The actor will portray the character of freedom fighter Udham Singh, which will be directed by Piku, Vicky Donor and October helmer Shoojit Sircar. Sardar Udham Singh was the man who assassinated Michael O'Dwyer, the former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab in British India in 1940, to avenge the 1919 massacre. The first look of Udham Singh was launched a few weeks back and it raised our curiosity around the film. The biopic is being produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar and will release in 2020.
Ashwatthama - 2020
After the humongous success of Uri, director Aditya Dhar, producer Ronnie Screwvala and actor Vicky Kaushal are reuniting for a period drama, which will revolve around the mythological character Ashwatthama, the son of guru Dronacharya and Kripi. The film will be made on a huge scale and the makers are planning for a mid-2020 release.
Takht - 2020
Well, this is probably one of the biggest Bollywood films in the coming months, which comprises of an ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar. Karan Johar's mega-budget period drama is set to hit the screen at the end of next year.
