The Dabangg girl of Bollywood, Sonakshi Sinha, who has impressed us with her raw action sequences in films like Akira and Force 2, might play a badass cop in Nikkhil Advani's next production. In a recent interview with Mumbai Mirror, filmmaker Nikkhil Advani confirmed the news and said, “Sonakshi and I had been in talks for another film revolving around a real-life incident in which she’s been paired opposite Saif (Ali Khan). I was comfortable with her so once Ranjit’s script was complete, I shared it with her. She showed interest during the narration, we are now waiting for her final revert.” Nikkhil also appreciated Sonakshi's performance in Akira and explained why she is suitable for this role. He said, “Akira, in particular, was a challenging role with kickass action. There is a fair amount of action in our film too which is why I think Sonakshi is a perfect fit for a role she has never played before.”
Nikkhil further added that film will be extensively shot in Manali during winters as snow will play a crucial part in the narrative, “It’s a film on a serial killer, on the same lines as David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Tate Taylor’s The Girl on the Train. We are really excited and can’t wait for it to take off,” he said joyfully. The thriller will be directed by Ranjit Tiwari, who has previously helmed Farhan Akhtar-starrer, Lucknow Central.
Sonakshi Sinha is currently busy in promoting her upcoming film, Ittefaq, along with co-star, Sidharth Malhotra. The film is produced by Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar under their banners Red Chillies Entertainment and Dharma Productions. It is slated to release on November 3.
