Since the trailer of Avengers: Endgame has dropped everyone has been quite curious about Captain Marvel's new look. The actress Brie Larson who plays the superhero character looks quite different in the recently released clip. The last time and also the first time the viewers saw her on screens was in the standalone movie and many have noticed that the character looks quite different in both the movies (the standalone movie released in March while this one releases in late April). Right from the length and the curls of the hair to wearing lipstick, there a lot of difference. And if you are too puzzled about it then don't worry, film's director Joe Russo is at your rescue.
Well, the reason isn't really a theory, it is instead quite simple and trivial. Brie started filming a Captain Marvel for Avengers: Endgame, before filming the standalone movie. As a result, she tried and tested a few things for her character's look in the upcoming movie.
"This was Brie’s first time playing the character," Joe Russo, one of the Endgame directors told. "She [filmed Avengers: Endgame] before she filmed Captain Marvel, and I think she was experimenting with what the character was. And those were the choices that she and her hair and makeup team had made."
Joe further added, "And I think as she started to gain a deeper understanding of the character, especially as she approached her own movie, she started to make different choices. And as an artist, she should be afforded that right to make whatever choice that she wants to make."
In an exclusive conversation with BollywoodLife, Joe revealed the plans of Marvel's Phase four. "I am really excited that Marvel has Fantastic Four and the X-Men. I’d love to work with those characters at some point. Those were also important characters for me growing up. The thing was one of my favourite characters (and) Wolverine. It would be interesting to see where they go from here," he said while sharing his plan of including the Fantastic Four and X-Men in the MCU.
Avengers: Endgame is the most anticipated movie of the year. The movie is the next part of the Avengers: Infinity War, wherein the universe lost 50 per cent of its population to Thanos' snap.
