Yeh Hai Mohabbatein starts with Pihu (Ruhanika Dhawan) saying that it is so exciting that Raman (Karan Patel) is getting award. Ruhi (Aditi Bhatia) is with her. Ishita says I will drop you two and go to the clinic. Ruhi tells her to come with them. She says Raman will drop them. Ishita hears Raman's voice. He has banged his car with someone in a drunk state and is involved in a scuffle. The men get angry with his behaviour and taunt him that his wife does not listen to him. Pihu sees this and is upset. She begins to cry. Ishita tells Ruhi to take her away and call everyone. Pihu tries to stop the men from hitting Raman and they push her. She gets hurt. Mr Bhalla comes and takes her away. Santoshi comes out and asks what happened. Mr Bhalla says a drunk Raman is creating a scene and Pihu got injured. They take Pihu for dressing and Raman comes there. He wants to go to Pihu but Romi and Simmi take him away. Ruhi sees all this and is distraught.
Mani and Shagun return home from the doctor's place. Aaliya makes a special dinner for them and a cake too. Mani says you are most excited. She says she also wants to see the baby. They asks what did the doctor say? He says Shagun has to look after herself and be happy. Aaliya says I will take you to the room. Shagun says I can look after myself. They have a small argument and Shagun feels nauseous. Raman says I want to meet my daughter but Mrs Bhalla stops him. Ishita comes there. She tells Neelu to get cold water. They ask about Pihu. She says Pihu is fine. Ishita tells him that she has come especially to meet him. She pours cold water on Raman. He is shocked. He says what are you doing? She says now that you have regained sense do you know that our daughter suffered because of your drunken behaviour. She says being a father, you do not know how to fulfill the duties of a dad. She says a dad has to protect his daughter but you are useless. She says our daughter had to protect you. She asks what is your frustration that you landed up drunk in the building and created such a chaos. She says Mummyji and I do not come home drunk. She says we do not get drunk and start yelling at people. Ishita tells Raman to look at himself in the mirror. She leaves the place angrily. Yeh Hai Mohabbatein plays.
Mani brings soup for Shagun and tells her to drink it before having medicines. Mani says he is shifting into her room to look after her. She is surprised. He says I am doing this for my baby. Ishita tries to feed soup to Pihu but she refuses. She tries to cajole her. Pihu says she is feeling unwell. Ishita tells Romi to go and get thermometer from her room in Bhalla house. Mrs Bhalla tells Raman that he needs to behave well. Romi comes there to get thermometer, Raman hears of Pihu's fever and rushes to her. Ishita tells him to go away. Pihu feels uncomfortable seeing him.
She starts crying and Ishita throws him out of the house. Mr Bhalla takes him away. Raman is shocked. Locked outside, he cries for Pihu. He is totally devastated. Romi and Mihika meet each other outside and say they miss each other immensely. Mihika says it is tough to pick sides in home. She says my sister is not wrong. She says I their differences to end. Romi hugs her. Param comes to meet Simmi. She says how dare you meet me after what you did. He asks what are you saying? She says my family is torn apart because of you. She says Raman-Ishita separated because of you. Simmi says your stupid plan has ruined our home. He says why are you blaming me? He says you told me you did not accept the marriage proposal of Gaurav Bajaj but he said you have. He says Simmi you tell lies. She says I do not need to explain you. Gaurav says I lied deliberately. Gaurav says Param behaves like he is your husband even now. He says he is trying to create misunderstandings between us. Simmi says you have not changed. She says I am sorry I did not accept your proposal, now I want to say yes. She tells Gaurav to drop her to work.
In the morning, Raman tries to talk to Ishita and sneaks into Mr Iyer's home. He sees a lady and thinking it is Ishita he puts a blanket on her and takes her inside a room.There he sees it is Shagun.
