Honey Singh's lyricist has talked about the rapper's vanishing act
Yo Yo Honey Singh set gossip mills abuzz with his sudden disappearance about three months ago. There were several theories doing the rounds after the rapper went missing from work and public appearances.
While some reports stated that he was on the run because the Nagpur police had booked him for controversial lyrics, speculation was also rife that he had gone into depression after his Chennai Express collaborator Shah Rukh Khan slapped him in public. Some rumours suggested that he was in rehab for alleged drug abuse.
A recent report insists that the singer is back to public life and will soon make his return to Bollywood. However, Honey Singh's frequent collaborator, his lyricist named Yo says otherwise.
"No way! He has still not made any contact with the team of artists he usually works with and has even changed his cell phone numbers. He told his team that he is taking a break to go home and spend time with family. But instead he checked himself into a rehab centre in Chandigarh in October," Yo was quoted by a tabloid.
Yo, who collaborated with Honey on the popular track Aata Maaji Satakli from Ajay Devgn-Kareena Kapoor starrer Singham Returns also claims that Honey was high all the time.
"We worked through the night on the lyrics of Aata Maaji Satakli. That was the last time I met him. I have never seen him use drugs while working. But the rest of the time he was always high," adds Yo.
