Here's a brand new poster of the much awaited film Sarbjit and it's real impressive and hard-hitting!
Honestly, by the looks of this new poster, it's hard to tell the difference between the real Sarbjit and Randeep Hooda who plays him in the movie. It's not surprising since Randeep has gone through immense preparation for this role. From losing 18 kgs in 28 days to chaining himself up to actually imagine what it was like to be imprisoned and locked, the talented actor has done it all. This poster marks a sincere tribute to the Sarbjit the farmer who suffered. It's great that directors like Omung Kumar choose to tell you stories that must be known. For all those who haven't figured, the last portrait shows the real Sarbjit while the rest is Randeep Hooda blowing you away with his realistic portrayal. Can you even tell?
While Randeep Hooda has spun his magic, another major surprise was Aishwarya's deglam avatar for this movie. You can hardly recognise her, and we love that she dared to do a role that wouldn't show her a glamorous actor but actually portray as her feisty sister who fights for brother's justice for 23 years. Her transformation is remarkable and has left everyone impressed. We are too.
The movie is all set to be screen at Cannes this year on May 14. In fact, at a press conference Aishwarya had even stated that it would be the perfect platform for this biopic. Unfortunately Randeep Hooda won't be present on account of health reasons.
Sarbjit is a true story of a Punjabi farmer who was accused of terrorism and taken imprisonment in Lahore jail. His sister Dalbir Kaur fought for 23 years top seek justice for him.
