After being a part of Bollywood for nearly 5 years, the Dangal actress Zaira Wasim decided to call it quits. Zaira left her fans in a state of shock when she made an announcement about her exit from the Hindi film industry on Sunday. The teenager, who is just two films old, sent the internet into frenzy with her decision. Zaira's big step however created a stir on the web as she cited religious reasons for the same. In her long Instagram note to her fans and well-wishers, Zaira Wasim had mentioned,"Five years ago I made a decision that changed my life forever. As I stepped my foot in Bollywood, it opened doors of massive popularity for me. I started to become the prime candidate of public attention, I was projected as the gospel of the idea of success and was often identified as a role model for the youth. However, that’s never something that I set out to do or become, especially with regards to my ideas of success and failure, which I had just started to explore and understand."
A healthy discussion followed on Twitter post Zaira Wasim's social media post. And people still stand divided over this topic. Amidst all of this, a latest Mid-Day report suggests that Zaira has opted out of the promotional schedule of her yet-to-be released film, The Sky Is Pink with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Farhan Akhtar.

"With the film eyeing an October 11 release, the makers were planning to kick off the promotions by August-end. it was evident from Zaira's Facebook post on Sunday that she has decided to severe her ties from films. in keeping with her decision, she has requested the makers to excuse her from the promotional activities," a source close to the development revealed.
And while Zaira Wasim was a thorough professional during the shoot of Shonali Bose's directorial, word is that she isn't willing to be associated with the film in any capacity. "Wasim's move has left the public divided in its opinion. While former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah said it was not anyone's place to question her choice, author Taslima Nasreen described it as a moronic decision," the source added.
Looks like, Zaira Wasim wants to cut off from movies completely and ASAP. The actress doesn't seem to be interested in promoting her next, which is due to release October 11.
