The show was said to be inspired from Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini’s hit film Baghban
Zee TV’s new show Sanyukt tells the story of a close-knit joint family. Aptly titled Sanyukt, the show highlights the simple pleasures and problems of living in a joint family. The show will be produced by Saregama Productions, known for making gripping shows like Savdhan India.
Speaking about the show at the launch event of the show, Shubhangi Latkar said “There is no negative character in the serial. Everyone has their own problems and perceptions. It's a real drama. Every person can relate to the situations in the serials. Either it has happened at their house or at a neighbour's house.Yeh Ghar ghar pe ghatne wali katha hai.” She will essay the role of the mother in the show. She was last seen in Life OK’s Baazigar and has done challenging roles in Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se, Ishq Ka Rang Safed, Mohi to name a few.
The show was being said to be adapted from Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini’s hit film Baghban. However, Kiran Kumar rubbished the rumours saying, “The only similarity between the the two is that Bachchan sir is a senior actor and so am I. No one can or should attempt to try and do what he has already done.”
The producer revealed that he could not have afforded Kiran Kumar but the actor agreed to do the show as he saw potential in the role. He said “I couldn't afford Kiranji for the role and I must say he did it for the role not money.”
The show also has seasoned performers Harsh Vashisht and Namrata Thapa playing a couple. Harsh will play the eldest son and Namrata will play the daughter-in-law. Mohit Sharma (who has done various episodics and shows like Devon Ke Dev Mahadev) and newbie Urvashi Sharma will play the second son and daughter-in-law. Talented actor Maninder Singh, who was last seen in Chabbis Barah, will essay the role of the third son. Playing the youngest son in the family will be a rookie actor, Suraj Kakkar.
Sanyukt will air on tv on 29 August in the 7.30 PM slot
