Karan Vohra is the face of Zee TV’s Zindagi Ki Mahek.
Saurabh Tewari is working on his new show for Zee TV called Zindagi Ki Mahek and they have finally found their male lead. The female lead in the show is Samiksha Jaiswal who is a newbie. After an extensive hunt, they have finalised Mr. India World Karan Vohra to play the male lead in the show. Zindagi Ki Mahek is about the journey of a homemaker and will premiere on TV by September 2016 airing on weekdays. The promo shows how one woman manages the entire household and takes care of everybody in the family. The makers haven’t revealed much about the concept of the show yet. We’re hoping the show breaks stereotypes and doesn’t join the bandwagon of TV shows that are regressive and beyond logic or a regular Saas-bahu saga. It replaces the show Meri Saasu Maa that had Pearl V Puri and Hiba Nawab in the lead roles. The show did not fare well on the TRP charts but made more noise for the rumoured love affair between the lead actors. The entire show will be shot in Delhi. The show will be produced by Saurabh Tewari who has also produced Rangrasiya, Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Do Dil Ek Jaan and Badtameez Dil. All of these shows have been fairly popular which kind of raises the bar for the new show. Karan is the brother of Kunal Vohra, who is currently a part of popular show Brahmarakshas as Ved Nigam. Karan is from Delhi and a total fitness freak (so much that his dog’s name is dumbbell). He owns a series of gyms and health clubs in Delhi. We would love to get our hands on some really cool workout videos!
Karan is not a new when it comes to facing the camera. The model-actor has had few experiences in the past too. Karan Vohra was seen in Colors’ Koi Aane Ko Hai in 2009 and was one of the contestants for Mr. India World 2008. Zindagi Ki Mahek will be his first stint on television where he has a full-fledged role that will give him more screen space and continuous episodes. The Delhi hunk will start shooting for the show in a couple of days. We wish him all the luck and hope that the show is worth a watch.
