Actress Zoe Kravitz, who is featured in films like X-Men: First Class, Mad Max: Fury Road and many others, has bagged the popular role of Catwoman in Matt Reeves' The Batman, which features Robert Pattinson in the titular character. Interestingly, the actress was declined to audition for the same role in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight rises, which was later played by Anne Hathaway. In an interview with Nylon in 2015, Zoe Kravitz said, "In the last Batman movie [The Dark Knight Rises], they told me that I couldn't get an audition for a small role they were casting because they weren't 'going urban,'. It was like, 'What does that have to do with anything?' I have to play the role like, 'Yo, what's up, Batman? What's going on wit chu?'"
Zoe Kravitz's stepfather and actor Jason Momoa congratulated her by sharing a picture with Zoe and wrote, "I’m so proud of u zozo bear. On and off screen OHANA. DC WB ohana Lola and Wolfies big sister is CAT WOMAN??? Unbelievable so freaking stoked. Your going to have so much fun Aloha P bear."
Talking about the reboot version of this superhero, it will be helmed by Matt Reeves, who is known for making Cloverfield and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. The Batman is bankrolled by Warners Bros and is expected to go on floors in the end of this year or early 2020. It is set to hit the screens on June 25, 2021. So, are you excited for this project?
