She visited the famous Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai on the first day of the new year and took the blessings of Lord Ganesha. Some of her serene and soothing pictures from the temple premises also surfaced.
Sharing these pictures on her Instagram account, Payal wrote that the energy of Siddhivinayak Temple is different, especially on the first day of the year. She said that she is all set to face 2026 with Bappa. His fans loved his post. In her words, There's just something about the energy at Shree Siddhivinayak Mandir that hits different, especially on day one of the year. Ready to take on 2026 with Bappa by my side.
This temple visit comes at a time when Payal was recently in the news over an alleged viral video controversy. In the last few weeks, an objectionable video had gone viral on social media, which was wrongly linked to Payal. This led to a wave of trolling and rumours against her.
Payal had given an open statement on this matter on December 17. She had categorically stated that the woman in the video was not her and the clip had nothing to do with her life or identity. She said, I never expected to have to speak publicly about something so personal and distressing. Over the past few days, content has been circulated online that falsely associates my name and image with a video currently being shared on digital platforms. I want to state this clearly and without ambiguity: the individual depicted in that video is not me, and it has no connection to my life, my choices, or my identity.
Payal described the entire episode as inhuman and said it was an opportunity to raise her voice, not just for her, but for all the women who are subjected to such digital violence. Payal clarified that this is not a joke or normal content, but a deeply hurtful behaviour. She said, I have always believed in maintaining silence in the face of negativity. However, this situation demands clarity and a voice—not just for myself, but for the many women who are subjected to similar forms of online abuse and character attacks. This is not harmless content; it is deeply hurtful and dehumanising.
Payal also informed that legal action has been initiated against this fake news and video. He appealed to the media houses and online creators not to spread this video further and spoil anyone's name without knowing the truth.
Despite so many difficulties, Payal thanked her fans. She said that in this difficult time, she received a lot of support and love from her fans and well-wishers, for which she will always be grateful.
