Ashneer Grover is an Indian businessman and former co-founder and managing director of Indian fintech company BharatPe. Presently, Ashneer captured the attention of the general public with a controversy with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
Ashneer Grover appeared as a special guest on ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ episode of the reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss 18.’ The show spiced up after the meeting of the entrepreneur and the host Salman Khan.
The episode heated up after Salman Khan pointed out the previous statement of Ashneer Grover about him. He asked Ashneer about his statement about the superstar.
“I have heard you speaking about me. You said, ‘We signed him for this much amount, signed him for that much,’ while the figures were wrong. What is with this double standard?” said Salman Khan.
Pointing out Grover’s statement, Salman Khan called out his ‘doglapan.’ The term ‘doglapan’ had gone viral after Ashneer used it in one of the TV shows Shark Tank India in 2021.
After the promo went hit on social media, Grover released his clarification about the show and his comment on superstar Salman Khan on X and LinkedIn.
Ashneer wrote, “I hope you enjoyed the Bigg Boss weekend ka vaar! I had good fun. And I am sure the particular episode got great TRP/viewership. BTW all of statements below are TRUE:”
He further wrote, “Salman is a great host and actor, Salman knows what works on Bigg Boss, I’ve always praised Salman for his sense of self and business-not a single thing demeaning said for him ever.”
Ending his statement, he said a photo with Salman and wrote, “And finally I’ve a pic with him-which I didn’t earlier, Thanks @BeingSalmanKhan. Keep rocking!”
