The most infamous claim of Tanya's, however, was that of her house: a seven-star hotel where there is an entire floor dedicated to her clothes. But when internet sleuths started doing a little digging, it turned out she actually resides in a regular, multi-storey house above a bank branch. No hotel facilities, and most definitely no specific floor just for clothes.
Her claims concerning the number of staff also drew much attention. A claim of 150 bodyguards and 800 house staff was ridiculously large for any private residence. These were immediately falsified by local sources and neighbors, showing it was merely an embellished story.
Her habit of international travel for food also came under scrutiny. She claimed to go to Dubai purely because of 'Baklava' and to London just for biscuits. This has been another example of her being out of touch with reality, often used as banter within the show.
The most interesting assertion was that of the kitchen lift. She said she had a lift installed in her kitchen for reaching upper shelves. It later emerged that the video footage that seemed to be spoken of was indeed from a luxury mansion in Pakistan and not in her house.
Tanya also made an emotional, dramatic claim that her private security detail rescued over a hundred people during a stampede at the Maha Kumbh Mela. No official records or news reports confirm this large-scale rescue operation by her personal staff.
In the end, Tanya Mittal's 'Bigg Boss 19' journey was full of grand claims and subsequent reality checks. Whether she was exaggerating for the cameras or genuinely believed her own hype, she certainly entertained the audience and provided ample fodder for internet discussions.
