Sometimes, a star stubbed film also majorly fail at box office maybe due to poor storyline, acting or direction. Today, we are talking about one such film that, despite having a talented cast of superstars and skilled performers, the film surprisingly underperformed at the box office.
The film we are talking about was released a decade ago and was based on a popular hit song from a blockbuster Bollywood film. The name of the film is All Is Well. It was directed by Umesha Shukla, who is popularly known for his work in Oh My God.
All Is Well is a comedy drama, released in 2015, and features an interesting cast including Rishi Kapoor, Supriya Pathak, Abhishek Bachchan, and Asin in the main lead. Sonakshi Sinha made a cameo in this film for the ong Nachan Farrate.
The name of the film was based on the iconic track from the 2009 released superhit film 3 Idiots, featuring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, and Boman Irani.
All is well revolves around the story of a singer who finds himself on the run from a group of thugs. The future situations in the film take a comedic turn. As per reports, this film was the last film of Asin.
Asin, known for her role in Ghajini, is a talented South Indian actress who has primarily worked in Tamil and Telugu films, earning numerous accolades for her performances. She has done several popular films, including Ready, Bol Bachchan, Khiladi 786, among others.
The Government of Tamil Nadu honoured her with the state’s highest civilian award Kalaimamani, in 2009. The film starring Rishi Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan became her last film. After this, she reportedly took retirement.
All Is Well was made with a budget of Rs 28 crores. However, as per reports, the film was able to make a worldwide collection of Rs 23 crores. The total net collection is reportedly expected to be around Rs 15 crore.
